Founder of LA indiepunk The Happy Problem, frontwoman of Brazilian-American reggae rock band The Good People of Planet Earth, member of Brooklyn dance-rock The Bashful, and solo artist, Sam Shaber has toured over 200,000 miles and released 10 albums on her own label, Brown Chair Records. Her songs are featured in commercials, TV and film, including the Weinstein film "Butter" starring Olivia Wilde, Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Garner, CW hit show "Privileged," and a multitude of reality shows about pregnant teens - no one knows why. Shaber's about to release two albums simultaneously by two different bands; the third release from The Happy Problem entitled "Birth," which is a more melodic, emotionally honest album about nothing less than life and death, and the self-titled rock-reggae debut from The Good People of Planet Earth, mixed by Grammy-winning David Bowie engineer Mario J. McNulty and landing "somewhere between Rage Against the Machine and Blondie." Time Out NY describes this raspy-voiced, energetic performer as "a happy-go-lucky Hole."
