Transactions

How do I get paid?

The first step to creating a BandPage experience requires that you enter your Paypal credentials. This means entering a valid email address that is linked up to your Paypal account. This will be the account through which you receive your funds, and if necessary, the account through which you issue refunds to your fans. For more details on how to do this, check our our Help Center

Where does the money go once a transaction has been completed?

When a fan buys a BandPage experienece, the sale goes straight into your Paypal account and BandPage takes 15% of the sale as our transaction fee.

Experiences

What kind of experiences are most successful?

The more creative and unique the experience, the more successful it will be with your fans. If you decide to include merchandise, it should be secondary to an experience and personalized to that fan.

Here are some example experiences:

  • Send your fans a handwritten lyric sheet
  • Set up a meet + greet for a fan and a friend before or after a show
  • Play a concert in a fan's home for up to 15 people
  • Host a private listening party for an advance record
  • Offer an hour-long Skype Q&A
  • Cover a song and send it to your fans with personalized packaging
  • Host a bonfire at the beach with a live acoustic set
  • Give your fans the opportunity to be in your next music video
  • Give your fans the opportunity to be a part of your next studio recording

It is important when creating an experience that you think carefully about how it will play out. For example, if you are covering a song from another artist, it is important that you have the legal rights to do so. Just be sure to use your best judgement and/or contact your legal counsel when crafting experiences. This way you can avoid ending up in any unwanted legal situations. For more information on this, refer to our Policies

Are there any experiences that are not allowed?

There are some things that are prohibited from being offered as BandPage experiences. Here is a list, but for more information, please review our Policies. If you see any of these, please send an email to Support@bandpage.com

Can experiences be associated with a goal?

The BandPage experiences platform does allow bands to post personal or professional goals in connection with experiences, but any goals or funding meters listed are for informational purposes only. All payments are transferred to the band immediately upon completion of the checkout process, regardless of whether the band has met or exceeded the posted goals.

Can more than one band or musician be involved in an experience?

If a band decides to partner up with another band or musician, they can do so to create combined experiences. For example, two bands that are touring together might want to collaborate on creating a unique experience for their fans. Details like price, location, and time should be agreed upon in advance. For more information, please see our Policies

Admins

As a band, who has access to my account?

Like the rest of the BandPage Platform, we allow for multiple admins to manage a single account. This means that all admins of a BandPage account will have the ability to post, edit, and remove experiences, as well as see and view any related account information and Paypal account settings. It is your responsibility to determine who should have administrative access to your BandPage account and experience settings.
