BandPage connects people who make music, with people who love music.
We power the canonical online profiles for over 500,000 music artists worldwide, and syndicate that information out to multiple major partner sites, as well as artists’ official websites, Facebook pages, and Twitter profiles. Additionally, BandPage is committed to creatively providing new ways for bands to gain visibility and earn a good living, while keeping them focussed on doing what they love.
We’re a ~40-person team, located in San Francisco, in beautiful and inspiring loft offices just off of South Park. We’re passionate about music – both as artists and as fans – as well as technology and product design.
Join the team that’s providing the most comprehensive, current, and accurate information about musicians, at a time where music-related data is some of the most in-demand on the Internet. Send your resume and cover letter to careers@bandpage.com to apply.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the BandPage Javascript team, your seasoned expertise and knowledge will now tackle the challenges of a cutting-edge platform built on bleeding-edge technologies. Working alongside a senior team of engineers, you will continue to push BandPage's dedication to innovative user experiences and highly-scalable app architectures. Additionally, you will be free to leverage new libraries (i.e. Backbone.js, Underscore.js) and server-side advances (i.e. node.js) wherever you and the team deem appropriate.
You are expected to have a passion for problem-solving and proactively identify and attack potential issues. For normal engineering challenges, you are expected to take projects from start through completion with minimal supervision, as well as steer junior engineers in the right direction when necessary.

BandPage is seeking a Senior Product Manager with exceptional intellect, creativity, and communication skill to play a leadership role in modernizing the music industry. Enable inventive new distribution and revenue models that empower hard working artists to make a living at their craft, thereby enabling them to spend more time creating and performing music rather than working as a Barista, or whatever. Work with passionate collaborators in our soulful SOMA loft space with pumping tunes and home cooked breakfasts and lunches.
The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for understanding the needs of artists, fans, and partners and conceiving and defining new products and features that align with our company’s mission and vision.
If you had been born in 800BC you would have been a mystic. You find patterns that others don’t see. Maybe you solve disentanglement puzzles in a higher dimensional space without even knowing how you do it.
Apply your world-class analytical skill to develop world-impacting algorithms and revolutionize an industry. Design and build the large scale, real time infrastructure that you need in order to implement your vision from the ground up. Experiment with clarity and intuition to find the signals, boldly envision what is possible and work pragmatically to make it a reality. Get your hands dirty from prototyping to production.
The backbone. The rock. The drummer.
Contribute your best-in-class programming skills to develop reusable tools for the management and manipulation of very large data sets. Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of data collection, storage, and retrieval processes. Optimize our infrastructure at both the software and hardware level. Focus on scaling horizontally rather than vertically. Rapidly fix bugs and solve problems. Work closely with and incorporate feedback from data scientists and other teams. Implement machine-learning algorithms.
